Vestas turns wind into energy - with quality and care
The Vestas Group, headquartered in Randers, Denmark, is the world’s leading manufacturer of wind turbines. Its main activities are developing, producing, selling, marketing and servicing systems for generating electricity from wind. With its many years of experience in this area, Vestas has contributed to making wind energy competitive today.
Vestas first appeared in Germany in October 1983 when it installed the first V15 wind turbine, with a capacity of 55 kW, on the North Sea coast of Schleswig-Holstein. Since then, Vestas Deutschland, headquartered in Husum, has erected more than 5000 turbines in Germany. Vestas has erected more than 31,500 wind turbines worldwide.
