GE Wind Energy GmbH
GE Energy is a worldwide market leader in power plant technologies, energy services and energy management systems. In 2006, this division of General Electric, which is headquartered in Atlanta, USA, attained a turnover of almost 18.2 billion US dollars. GE Energy develops and produces wind turbines in Germany, Spain, China, Canada and the USA.
GE Energy’s range of wind power products encompasses turbines with rated outputs from 1,500 kW to 2,500 kW, supplemented with a comprehensive range of services as well as support that extends from project development to the operation and maintenance of wind turbine generators (WTGs). By December 2006, GE Energy had constructed and/or developed more than 10,000 WTGs worldwide with a total of more than 9,900 MW.
