Manager Training Programme “Fit for Partnership with Germany”
The bilateral Manager Training Programme of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy is an element of Germany’s foreign economic policy. According to the motto “Fit for Partnership with Germany”, the programme prepares executives from 16 countries in Asia, Eastern Europe, North Africa and Latin America for business relations and economic cooperation with German companies – with success on both sides. It promotes in particular small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) interested in doing business with German companies from different branches.
Participating managers are able to benefit from the program by the following factors:
- Establish contacts with potential business partners in Germany
- Acquire management skills and skills for international cooperation, i.e. intercultural, negotiating skills, project management skills.
Special focus: Renewable energies
In general the Manager Training Programme is open to managers from all branches. In addition it offers a training and cooperation programme with special focus on renewable energies. Here, participants can learn more about the latest technologies in the field of solar, wind, bio, geothermal and hydroelectric power and ways in which they are used. And they get in touch with leading German companies in that field. In 2014 executives from Egypt and Vietnam took part in that specialized programme. It is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
