SPG’s Fresnel is a linear Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) technology that, with its special design, offers several advantages (economical and technical) because of its use of flat glass and of simple steel structure. It is very efficient in terms of land use and requires lower maintenance efforts. Solar Power Group develops the Fresnel concept since several years and has achieved one of the best performances in the CSP industry: production of superheated steam at 450 °C and 100 bar.

Close cooperation with leading research institutions, such as the Germany Aerospace Centre (DLR) and the Fraunhofer Institute (ISE), ensures that SPG is always ahead of the latest developments in the technology.
