In the segment of renewables, Solar Millennium AG has specialised in parabolic trough power plants. We serve all important business fields along the value chain of power plants: from project development to technology and system construction to operation and power plant ownership. Within Solar Millennium Gruppe, Flagsol GmbH is responsible for technology and construction of parabolic trough power plants.

Solar Millennium developed the first parabolic trough power plants in Europe and realised these in conjunction with partners. Since 2008 and 2009, Andasol 1 and 2 have been running successfully in South Spain; Andasol 3 will follow in 2011. The technology for the first parabolic trough solar field in Egypt also comes from Solar Millennium. In the USA, Solar Millennium has construction permits for four 250-megawatt power plants in the Mojave Desert. Our current regional emphasis is on Spain, the USA, the Middle East, North Africa and South Africa.
