A project of SunEnergy Europe GmbH

The citizens of the city of Meldorf participate in the solar power plant.

Focussed quality:

  • Excellent profitability
  • Short construction time despite difficult weather conditions
  • Civic participation project

Just a stone's throw away from the North Sea coast, SunEnergy Europe, together with a partner company, has realised a 7.65 MWp solar power plant in Meldorf. Conceived as a public solar power plant from the beginning, this climate-friendly project with attractive benefits for all citizens of the region in Schleswig Holstein was brought about by the excellent cooperation of politicians and regional partners.

This solar plant covers the electricity needs of some 2,000 households. The project is financed through a solar energy fund, while the proceeds are distributed amongst the plant owners, many of whom are citizens of the community.
