aleo solar's production facilities at Prenzlau are some of the most modern production facilities for solar modules in Europe. Current capacities of 90 MW will be expanded to 170 MW by the end of 2008. In 2007, the module specialist also started production in Spain (10 MW). With its headquarters in Oldenburg, the company also has its own sales offices in many southern European countries and in the USA. aleo solar was founded in 2001 and is listed on the stock market. In 2007, it employed 555 staff and took in around 242 million Euro.
aleo solar produces and sells premium, silicon-based solar modules and is a global supplier of photovoltaic systems. Thanks to a holding in Johanna Solar Technology GmbH, aleo solar has also been able to secure access to promising thin film technologies.
